The Carl Hester Grande II Dressage Saddle by PDS® is traditionally designed with a double flap and a soft, yet supportive deep seat that promotes a secure feeling. Minimal rigging under the leg allows proper position. A concave block design allows the leg to rest securely against it in a comfortable, natural manner without interference to the knee, which encourages a quiet lower leg.

The full panels are designed to suit a broad-shouldered horse with an uphill build and a straighter, more level back. Patented AMS® synthetic wool panels are softer and kinder to the horse’s back, and combined with the wider channel, encourage the horse to lift and use its back more effectively, while providing the rider with a smoother, shock-absorbing ride.

The XCH™ gullet system comes with medium-wide gullet plate in place and uses PDS gullet plates. Other size gullet plates are available from narrow through extra-wide.
